'Ein traumhaft schönes Guesthouse' welches glück, dass uns das tourist office in robertson dieses wunderschöne guesthouse empfohlen hat ! alle bisherigen bewertungen haben zugetroffen - wir haben im februar 2013 unvergesslich schöne stunden bei hilde und dieter (und willy !) erlebt ! man wähnt sich nicht mitten in einer stadt, sondern in einem ruhigen, grossartig angelegten park. erstklassiges frühstück, grosser pool, geschmackvoll eingerichtete zimmer, wunderbare gastfreundschaft ! wir kommen wieder, möglichst bald ! heinz & sylvia aus der schweiz

Simply the best !! This was our third visit to De Oude Opstal and once again Deiter and Hilde were superb hosts, always ready to offer helpful information and advice. On this occasion we opted for the Mountain View room which was a delight, maintaining the high standards of accommodation they provide at their lovely property. As frequent visitors to the Western Cape we have travelled to many areas and generally enjoyed good accommodation with helpful friendly owners. De Oude Opstal comes top in all respects.
Room Tip: Africa and Lavender rooms for families, and the Mountain View room for couples.
We're back into our normal routine in Cape Town again, but keep remembering our days in Robertson fondly.
Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. The room was great, the breakfasts tasty and the gardens beautiful. Jesse loved your dog and the tall, tall palm tree sticking out from behind the rooms. Lance loved the shower and all the different fruit trees in the garden. I loved the bag of swimming towels outside the room and being woken by church bells on Good Friday.
Hello Dieter en Hilde, We will thank you for the great stay at De Oude Opstal. You are very friendly and helpful and we felt right at home. The garden is wonderful, very big and very quiet with a lovely large swimming pool. The room is beautifully decorated everything fits together. We had a wonderfull time with you, many thanks.
